Shenley Puterbaugh

Founder, Blogger, Speaker and Website Manager

email: shenley@inspirefamilyhistory.com

Shenley was inspired to love family history when her mom told her stories and helped her diagram her family tree when she was a child. She has spent countless hours researching, interviewing relatives, digging through old boxes and records and sharing what she has learned.

Shenley earned a BA in International Cultural Studies with an emphasis in Communications and Intercultural Peacebuilding. While homeschooling their 3 children Shenley and her husband, Brett, incorporate family history as much as possible. She has taught family history classes for adults and children and strives to inspire her family, friends and now everyone to love family history.

Shenley also enjoys hiking in the mountains, playing tennis, baking and reading.

Heidi was raised to love family history. Her parents influenced her by always doing family history and telling bedtime stories at night. Her love of family history evolved to finding relatives on facebook and building relationships with extended family members.

Now, much of her time is spent at home with her two children. Besides collecting books and cousins, she also enjoys gardening, painting, reading and going on family bike rides.
